    Hello, Ram Fam,

I hope you have had a great week so far!

FFA Fundraiser - Family Night at El Senor in Knightdale:  To start with….the food is good.  FFA is hosting a fundraiser there on Monday, December 13th from 4-10PM.  The address is 2001 Widewaters Parkway.  Make sure you tell them you are with Rolesville High School.  You can eat in or take out.

Virtual Meeting with Dr. Savage re. Qualities of Incoming Principal:  Remember that Dr. Savage is planning to host a virtual meeting on Monday, December 13th at 6PM to talk with parents about what they want/need in the next principal.  Dr. Savage provided me with the following information to share with you.

    Rolesville Community Principal Input Link

    Monday, December 13 · 6:00 – 7pm

    Google Meet joining info

If you would prefer to provide feedback prior to or in lieu of the virtual meeting, you may do so here.

Just so you know, there will be a staff session and student sessions to provide a complete picture of wants and needs.

Water Bottles or Cups:  We are blowing through our cups to allow students to get water.  It would be sooooooooo helpful if students would bring their own cup or bottle.  Please consider making sure your Ram has one!

Exam Specifics Next Week:  Remember that students only have one week of class when they return after break before exams start.  Mark your calendars for Jan. 10-14 for exams.  We will have the parent permission slips to leave early as we have done in the past.  We will post the exam plan on our homepage as well as a link to our parent permission form that allows students to leave campus when the exam period is over.

Senior Yearbook Ads are due 12/31: You may recognize your student’s milestones and successes with a student ad. Designs and payment are due by Dec. 31.  These ads may be purchased and designed at jostensadservice.com.

Order your 2022 yearbook! Prices are going up next week. Purchase yours at jostensyearbooks.com. We are back to a Spring Delivery. Yearbooks will be distributed in May 2022.

Senior Cap and Gown Orders:  If you want group pricing (best it will be), you need to order by 12/17 at jostens.com.

    Winter Spirit Week Next Week:

Monday, December 13th - Winter Wonderland Day! Dress like you are snow (or in the snow)! Tuesday, December 14th - Ugly sweater day!

Wednesday, December 15th - Funny Hat or Fuzzy Sock Day. OR BOTH!

Thursday, December 16th - Pajama Day!

Friday, December 17th - Holiday Character Day! Dress as your favorite holiday character!

Teacher Workdays on Dec. 20-21:  There will be very few staff members in the building and we will not be able to staff the front office.  For this reason, we will not plan to run business-as-usual those days.  If there is something you want to inquire about, please reach out to that person to see if she or he will be onsite.

Wake Forest Dr. Martin Luther King Contest:  Each year, Wake Forest hosts a celebration where students are invited to participate in a variety of activities.  Awards are given.  We would love to have our students participate again this year.  Last year, our own Kashara Simpson won.  Check out the opportunities at https://www.wakeforestmlkcelebration.com/home.html

Fast Food Deliveries for Lunch:  Deliveries from delivery services, family members or friends is not permitted. Likewise, students may not bring food from restaurants into the school during lunch or after lunch.

Mask Requirements for Indoor Sports re. Spectators:  As we transition to winter sports, remember that face coverings are still required indoors on school campuses.  The distance between students and adults should be a minimum of 6 feet to the greatest extent possible.

Volunteer to help #BeautifyRolesville - 1st Saturday of every month

Leadership Opportunity for Juniors:  Wake Electric seeks applicants for a one-week, all expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the 2022 Electric Youth Tour. Winners also receive a $1,000 scholarship. Winners MUST go on the Washington Trip to be eligible for the $1,000 scholarship. The trip will be from June 18 – 24, 2022. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded the following year upon proof of enrollment in a North Carolina college or university.
