• What is Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC)?

     

    The Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) is a military-style program for high school students that teaches citizenship, leadership, and service. The program is similar to the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC). 
     
    What does NNDCC teach?
    • CitizenshipStudents learn about the responsibilities and benefits of citizenship 
    • LeadershipStudents develop leadership skills and the ability to work in a team 
    • ServiceStudents learn about serving the United States and their community 
    • DisciplineStudents learn self-discipline and personal honor 
    • Physical fitnessStudents improve their physical fitness 
    • Science, technology, and engineeringStudents learn about math, science, and engineering 
       
    Who can participate?
    • For the 2025-2026, registration at Rolesville HS will be open to rising 9th-11th graders. 
    • Students who complete three years of the program may be eligible to enlist in the military with a higher rank.
