In partnership with the Wake PTA Council, Instructional Technology and Library Media Services is sponsoring a parent event entitled "What Every Tech Healthy Family Needs to Know." As a part of our fall Convergence, our opening keynote speaker, Janell Burley Hofmann (author of iRules: What Every Tech Healthy Family Needs to Know about Selfies, Sexting, Gaming, and Growing Up) will speak to parents on November 27th from 6:30-7:30 pm at the McKimmon Center at NCSU. Attached you will find the invitation. There is limited space and registration is required (http://bit.ly/wcpsstech).
Parents will learn the benefits of a growth mindset, how to encourage a growth mindset in students, and key resources to support their Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) student.
This evening event at Martin Middle School provides parents an opportunity to learn about special education services, related services and community resources for students with disabilities.
