  • Welcome to J.Y. Joyner Elementary Magnet School. Our mission is to be a community that embraces and empowers all to achieve their highest potential in a diverse and ever-changing world. Joyner is a nurturing environment that fosters positive relationships that promote academic and social development. We want to extend learning beyond the walls of our school, and we are inspired to explore and understand our world. We celebrate our work as an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school and Center for Spanish Learning.

Magnet News

    Joyner Elementary is unique in that it has a dual magnet theme. We are an International Baccalaureate school and a Center for Spanish Language. For more information  about our program and events, click here.
     
     
    Joyner Elementary was awarded a Magnet School of Excellence Award by Magnet Schools of America for the 2018-2019 School Year. This award is given to only a select group of magnet schools that have demonstrated the highest level of excellence in all facets of the merit award application.
