Would you like to nominate your child for the Academically or Intellectually Gifted program? Nominations are accepted all year and decisions to refer students for testing are made by our School Based Committee for Gifted Education. Testing for grades 4-5 takes place twice during the school year. Our fall testing begins October 17th. Contact Kim Zeugner (firstname.lastname@example.org), the Kingswood AIG Teacher, for more information.
Kingswood teachers are trained to provide an interdisciplinary approach by integrating science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in all Common Core State Standards through project-based learning. Our outdoor learning centers combine STEM concepts with Montessori based activities where students enjoy learning opportunities year round.
This time-honored educational approach offers a nurturing and supportive learning environment that develops the whole child, including social, emotional, academic, and physical needs. The curriculum is delivered using the Montessori philosophy, methods, and materials. Student-led Project-Based Learning allows students to gain knowledge and skills by investigating and responding to a complex question or challenge. Parents of students who are interested in our programs are encouraged to contact our Magnet Coordinator, Michelle Gensler. email@example.com
