Students who log their reading hours and achieve the goal of reading 20 minutes per day throughout the time frame (for a total of 800 minutes) will receive TWO complimentary ticket vouchers to a Hurricanes home game. Click on "Academics and Programs" and then the "Alston Ridge Media Center" to learn more!

Programs include the Alston Ridge Band, TGA Tennis and Golf, KidzArt and Young Rembrandts Drawing. Information about registration is available on each program's website. All students who participate dismiss directly to the private programs at the end of the school day, and parents are responsible for arranging pick-up and transportation home at the conclusion of program-days.
Online volunteer registration can be completed during school hours at any Wake County Public School building. All returning volunteers must re-register prior to October 31st to ensure that there is no break in eligibility. Prospective volunteers will submit to a background check prior to approval by WCPSS to volunteer. Volunteer clearance may take 2-3 weeks for final approval before a volunteer is eligible.
