  • International Bluegrass Music Association

     

    Carnage Middle School is excited to announce that Bluegrass Musicians Donna Ulisse and Rick Stanley will be conducting two songwriting master classes on Thursday, September 26. 2019. The classes will be for Mrs. Robinson's 6th grade ELA class at 11:54 am and Mrs. Byrd's 8th grade ELA class at 12:44 pm.   Classes are part of the International Bluegrass Music Association's World of Bluegrass week in Raleigh. These classes are supported by United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County in partnership with WCPSS, Wake County, PineCone, and the International Bluegrass Music Association.

  • PSAT Registration

     

    Wake County Public School System will offer the PSAT on Monday, October 16, 2019. The PSAT is a standardized, multiple-choice test that includes three sections: critical reading, mathematics and writing. The test provides practice for the SAT and offers insight for advising and counseling students.

    Students who are eligible to take the PSAT must have completed Math 1

    Deadline to register for the PSAT test is September 7. Students must register by the deadline to be allowed to take the PSAT. Carnage GT/AIG Basics Magnet Middle School will serve as a host site. There is an administration fee of $17 which must be paid via the Online School Payments (OSP) Portal on or before September 15, 2019.

    The district uses the School Messenger notification service to send important information and messagess. Starting this month, we will begin rolling out this service to share information through text message and email, based on parents' preferences.  
     

    Text messages will only be sent to people who opt-in.

    Your child will need more vaccines!

    North Carolina law now requires Tdap and Meningococcl vaccines for entry into 7th grade.

    Please review the flyer below for "what you need to do" and where to get these vaccines.  Immunization documentation can be submitted to the main office at anytime.  You do not have to wait until next school year to submit your documentation.
