Welcome to Hunter GT/AIG Basics Magnet Elementary School! Wake County's first and finest magnet school! The unique Gifted and Talented/Academically Intellectually Gifted (GT/AIG) theme allows students to identify, explore, and expand their gifts and talents in AIG, the content areas, and multiple areas of the visual and performing arts. Hunter is proud to offer our students Gifted & Talented/Academically and Intellectually Gifted Basics (GT/AIG)-themed programming. According to their qualifications, eligible students are grouped with other GT/AIG-identified students for language arts or math. Learn more.
Families can attend an in-person or a virtual session on Dec. 4. There is also an online feedback forum open until Dec. 8.
For the second year in a row, Hunter GT/AIG Basics Magnet has been named a TOP Magnet School of America School of Excellence! We are also recognized as a Nationally Certified Magnet School!
