The Parent Teacher Resource Center (PTRC): The Parent Teacher Resource Center is open Monday through Fridays from 8am until 5pm year round. Drop by and check out the wonderful library full of resources, including books for young children birth through kindergarten age and the adults in their lives. Wake County residents can check out books for a three-week period, but anyone is welcome to visit and browse our shelves. 2023-2024 Demonstration Preschool (DPS) Classroom Applications are Available NOW! We are now accepting applications for Project Enlightenment’s half-day 5 Star Demonstration Preschool for the 2023-2024 school year. The Demonstration Preschool is an inclusive classroom of four-year-olds. There is an emphasis on social-emotional growth and learning using developmentally appropriate methods. Children get to experience what it means to be a part of a connected, loving and caring classroom community.
A child must be four years of age on or before August 31, 2023 for enrollment.

The Ready to Learn Program: Ready to Learn is offering FREE in-person sessions for young children ages 18 months-5 years old (and not age-eligible for kindergarten) and their families that live in Wake County. Opportunities are available for children and their families to participate together in FUN, interactive activities at home that include music and movement, arts and crafts, storytimes, and more! Parent Counseling In-Person or Virtual Services: Parenting young children can be challenging at any time particularly now. Parent Counseling can occur in-person or virtually and is available for Wake County families with young children birth through five years of age. Please call 919-694-8991 to schedule an appointment.
