Ready to Learn
Ready to Learn early learning classes are FREE for parents and caregivers to attend with their young children 18 months through age 5.
Participation in the classroom community gives families the opportunity to learn, explore, and play together in a fun, engaging, hands-on, social environment. Planned activities assist families in nurturing children’s healthy growth and development, promoting each child’s educational success, and establishing an early and positive family-school partnership.
- Classes meet weekly for about 75 minutes on school days (M-F) during school hours.
- The program operates on the traditional school calendar (late August through early June).
- Class schedules vary by location and are created as applications are received and reviewed.
- Additional resources and services offered may include:
- parent education and workshops
- referrals to other WCPSS early learning services
- pathways to community programs and agencies
- developmental screenings
