Parents and Teachers of Young Children! SAVE the DATE- Thursday, March 20, 2025! The Peggy Hibbert Series is excited to announce that Christine Burkhart will speak on the topic of Growing Outdoors, and how to maximize social/emotional learning in outdoor spaces. The Parent Teacher Resource Center (PTRC): Watch our Parent Teacher Resource Center video to learn more about all of our services. The PTRC is open Monday through Fridays from 8am until 5pm year round. Drop by and check out the wonderful library full of resources, including books for young children birth through kindergarten age and the adults in their lives. Wake Pre-K Registration is Now Open!
Do you have a child who will be 4 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2025? The application for Wake Pre-K for the 2025–2026 school year is available online at wakesmartstart.org/prek. You can also visit the Parent Teacher Resource Center at Project Enlightenment to get an application or click here to learn more.
The Ready to Learn Program: Ready to Learn is offering FREE in-person sessions for young children ages 18 months-5 years old (and not age-eligible for kindergarten) and their families that live in Wake County. Opportunities are available for children and their families to participate together in FUN, interactive activities that include music and movement, arts and crafts, storytimes, and more! Parent Counseling In-Person or Virtual Services: Parenting young children can be challenging at any time particularly now. Parent Counseling can occur in-person or virtually and is available for Wake County families with young children birth through five years of age. Please call 919-694-8991 to schedule an appointment.
