Welcome to Leroy Martin Gifted and Talented Magnet Middle School!
We have educated students in Wake County for 60 years. We strongly believe that all students possess gifts and talents that deserve to be identified, nurtured, and rewarded during these formative years. Our innovative approach to education encourages students to participate in a wide variety of elective courses to enrich and enhance the core curriculum.
At Martin, if you dream it you can achieve it!
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Career Connections Fair
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM AIG Parent and SSA Information Meeting
We had a great, though shortened, return to in person learning last week. A school building just has a different energy when students are in person! Wednesday will be an Asynchronous Learning day for all students.
We hope you are staying warm and dry and enjoying an extended weekend. Martin will be closed to students on Monday for Presidents’ Day and Tuesday for a Teacher Workday. Classes will resume on Wednesday morning.
All students will continue with remote learning this week and it will be a full week of live classes. Martin students will return to in person learning on Wednesday, February 17th, with Cohort 2/B and our Regional Program students coming to the building for learning.
Wednesday is an Asynchronous Learning Day. While there will be no live instruction, students are still expected to check Google Classroom and/or Canvas for the instructional activities for the day.
We are looking forward to a full week this week. All students will continue to learn remotely this week and Wednesday is a synchronous learning day (live instruction will happen in each class).
All WCPSS schools will operate on a normal schedule on Friday, Feb. 19.
Feb. 17, 2021Feb. 18 is an Asynchronous Learning Day for All Students
