  • St. Baldricks Team TACKLE

    This year Daniels Magnet Middle School will be collaborating with Davis Drive Middle School to grow the team and have some friendly competition for a good cause.

  • 7th Grade Author Visit: Scott Reintgen, February 28th

    We are very excited to announce that author Scott Reintgen will speak to the 7th grade students at Daniels Middle School on February 28, 2018 about his book Nyxia. Described by NYT’s bestselling YA author Marie Lu as “A high-octane thriller . . . Nyxia grabs you from the first line and never lets go.”

  • School Safety & Response to Parkland, FL

    We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that transpired yesterday in Parkland, FL. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected. We want to assure you that our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students. This is a responsibility we take very seriously. We have proactive plans and procedures to protect our students. We frequently conduct practice drills and constantly improve measures for responding to emergency situations. We work closely with area law enforcement to continuously review, evaluate and strengthen security at our schools.

  • STEM Camp for Young Ladies

    A one-week mentorship for rising 8th grade girls to encourage them to study engineering. Each girl receives a mentor through three weeks of engineering activities. One week is resident at Southeast Raleigh High school from 8:30AM -4PM. The other two weeks are homework one week before camp and project one week after camp. Lunch is included each day.

  • Authors Who Have Visited Daniels!!

    What do authors Peter Lerangis, Adam Gidwitz, Gordon Korman, Mike Lupica, Laurie Halse Anderson, Lynda Mullaly Hunt and Jason Reynolds all have in common? They all have visited Daniels Magnet Middle School to share their stories, insight and love of writing with our students!
