AIG Basics Magnet Program at Hunter

    Students identified as Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge through extensive instructional support in core classes. They are taught with their academic peers daily for their reading and math instruction. These students also have the opportunity to participate in AIG elective classes. 
     
    The Gifted and Talented Pathway includes Elementary, Middle, and High School opportunities. Read more about our program!

Schedule A Tour

  • We are thrilled that you are interested Hunter Gifted and Talented/Academically Intellectually Gifted Basics Magnet Elementary for the 2022-23 school year! 
    At this time, we are offering a virtual information session Q&A for families to learn more about the many offerings at our school.  Those who attend the virtual info session may come to an in-person tour of the building the afternoon of your session. It will be held after school hours at 4:30pm. ONLY those who have attended the virtual sessions will be allowed to tour the building.

    You will be sent a Google Meet invitation one day prior to your scheduled "tour".

    We encourage you to view the VIRTUAL LANDING SITE PRIOR TO ATTENDING the virtual session to maximize your tour experience.
