My name is Fran Cameron.  I grew up on a farm in rural North Carolina, with two sisters, several cats, dogs, and cows.  I attended the public schools of Anson County until I graduated from high school.  I attended Appalachian State University right out of high school and graduated from Meredith College.  I earned my teaching license from William Peace University. This is my 23rd year at Joyner Elementary, but my sixth as a classroom teacher.  I am very excited to be part of the Fifth Grade Team!

Hello friends and families! My name is Kaylah Piner, and I am so excited to join the 5th grade team this year! I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC and have lived here my entire life. I recently graduated from UNC Greensboro, where I obtained my degree in Special and Elementary Education (Go Spartans!). I have always had a passion for education, ever since I was a little girl. It's a bit surreal to see my dreams finally become a reality. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family, listening to music and going on road trips. I am so excited to join the 5th grade team and embark on this new journey at this amazing school, and I look forward to making this year great!

Hi! My name is Megan Schneider. This is my second year at Joyner, 14th year teaching, and 6th year teaching 5th grade!

I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I always wanted to be a teacher just like my mom. I earned my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with minors in Math, Science and German Education from Northern Michigan University.

I moved to Raleigh after graduation to teach seventh grade math and science. After teaching middle school for seven years, I moved to Root Elementary, where I taught both 5th and 3rd grade. When the opportunity to teach in my own neighborhood at Joyner came up, I jumped at it! 

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, kayaking, playing board games, watching football and spending time with my family and friends.

My name is Stephanie Wilcox, and I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!  I grew up in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC.  I attended the College of William & Mary, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.  After teaching 6th grade for a year in Virginia, I moved to Raleigh and became part of the Joyner family.  This is my 9th year teaching 5th grade at Joyner, and it has truly become my home away from home.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Andrew, for 6 years.  We have a daughter, Adelyn, and a dog, Luna.  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time outdoors with my family.
