• Rolesville High School Weekly Updates      |      July 15, 2017

Ram Camp – August 10th, 8-12:30:  IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED, FRESHMAN FAMILIES, YOU NEED TO PUT IT AT THE TOP OF YOUR “TO DO” LIST.  We know folks might be out of town that day.  If you are in town, you need to register and have your freshman on campus that day.  This school is HUGE and your freshman needs the opportunity to learn how to navigate before the first day.  Also, we are planning information for parents at the same time students are participating in an orientation.  We need accurate numbers to plan well.  Go to the school website to register today!

AP Drop Deadline: July 15th, email Mrs. Nilles at knilles@wcpss.net

Getting the Text Link for RHS Updates:  Text YES to 67587

Student Volunteer Opportunities:  Thanks to the students who are planning to help this coming week!!! YAY!  There will be additional needs as the summer progresses when we need to put packets or bags or folders or whatever together.  I will be doing another all-call through this format, Remind and Twitter for help again soon.

Student Email:  Student email converted to Outlook on July 10th. Students will log in through the Wake ID Portal and select the Outlook icon.  Lotus will be available as view only until Sept. 10th.  Students will need to print or save to a device/other memory prior to Sept. 10th.

AP Students: We reminded students over and again during morning announcements to check the information online regarding summer assignments.  They really need to plan when and how they will get this work done.  To do a quality job, they do not need to wait until the last minute.  WE DO WANT THEM TO STAY THE COURSE.  It is easy to procrastinate during the summer.  Parents ask students how the work is progressing periodically.

Thinking ahead to graduation next year:  One of the things we really struggled with this past year was having the clothes for our young men to wear under their cap and gown for graduation.  Some do not have the means to purchase them.  They need a white dress shirt, black tie, black pants and black dress shoes. (It is a little tough to match a red gown!)  I would like to start to collect those things now for next year.  If you have gently used items, have a civic or church group that would like to adopt this project or have a great idea to get these items donated, I would really appreciate the help.

Have you changed your address, email, phone number, etc.?  It is really important for us to have current information for your family. Please keep your contact information accurate with us.  Also, if any information will impact student assignment, the sooner we know that information the better we all can plan for 2017-18.
