Hello, Rolesville High School families. This is Mrs. Lassiter calling with updates.
First of all, thank you to all who attended Open House on Thursday evening! We appreciate your time and participation.
Also, thank you to the Jarvis family for painting the R and rams on our football field in preparation for tonight’s game. Hopefully, many of you will see it! Looks great!
WRAL contacted me on Thursday to say that they will be at the football game here on Friday night. Let’s show them a great Ram time!
For 10th, 11th and 12th graders who are interested in earning college credit tuition free while still in high school, you can do so through the Career and College Promise program. In order to participate in the program, you must attend a mandatory information session and receive the necessary paperwork. There will be an information session held on Wednesday, September 28th at 6:30 pm at Heritage High School. You may register to attend this session at ccp.waketech.edu. If students have questions, they should see Mrs. McPherson in 3508 or stop by Student Services.
We found out Thursday that the Oct. 15th administration of the PSAT has been changed to Oct. 19th. It requires registration online by September 22nd, which is a little longer than we originally stated. We are also reminding students on a daily basis over the intercom about registration.
The Wake County College Fair is set for September 18th from 2-4:30 PM at NC State University McKimmon Center.
PTSA switched its Zaxby’s evening to September 19th. Please make note on your calendar.
Seniors and parents are invited to attend senior parent night on Sept. 20 at 6:30 PM. Please plan to attend as the counselors will present important information pertaining to the year. Seniors can now access the online school payments on our website to pay the $40 for senior fees. Please check the Parents tab on the website.
Also, senior conferences have begun. These meetings are very important connections to make sure students are on track to graduate on time.
I want to make sure parents are aware that students must consume all food and drink from outside vendors before they come into school. Also, food from outside vendors is not allowed at breakfast or lunch. This expectation is very common at WCPSS high schools.
That will do it for this week. Have a great weekend!
