Internship Interest Meeting: On November 4th during 4th period (1:00PM - 1:45PM), Mrs. Ellis will be hosting an Internship Interest Meeting. An internship is an experience in which a high school student learns by taking on a responsible role as a worker in a company or organization and then reflects on what happened while in the workplace. The Internship Program is a supplement to formal classroom instruction. Its intent is to significantly add to the vitality of the instructional program and to impact the courses that a student has taken or will take. Internships are for Juniors and Seniors and must be at least 120 hours.
If you are interested in learning more about the steps to becoming an intern (for the Spring 2022 Semester or Fall 2022 Semester) or just curious about learning more about internships for school credit, please register for this information session HERE (using your WCPSS student account).
Wake Tech Community College Information & Application Sessions: On November 8th, a representative from Wake Tech will be on RHS' campus to offer an Information Session for 11th & 12th graders who are interested in knowing more about Wake Technical Community College. The session will explain the curriculum, college transfer & health science programs. They will also discuss the admissions process and other resources, tutoring, athletics & clubs/organizations on campus. In addition, the representative will also be assisting students applying to Wake Tech. The representative will be able to assist 12th grade students filling out the application for enrollment.
The Information Session will be held from 9:00AM - 9:45AM and the Application Session will be held from 9:45AM to 10:30AM on 11/8. Location in the building: TBD. To sign up for one or both sessions, please register HERE (using your WCPSS student account).

REVIEW
Volunteer to Share Your Expertise: The Rolesville High School Business Alliance invites you to become part of your child’s education through involvement in our School-to-Career activities. We encourage you to partner with us to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge for tomorrow’s global workforce. School-to-Career activities include: classroom guest speaking, career fair participation, workplace tours, job shadowing, and curriculum integration projects & more. For additional information: https://bit.ly/RHSBusinessAllianceInfo
Sophomore Announcement Platform: All sophomores are invited to join our Google Classroom to keep up with important announcements throughout the school year. The code is:

Support for PTSA: We are planning to move forward with the annual Reindeer Days event. I am certain that we will be seeking much assistance from our RamFam to support the event. Please put the first Saturday of November into your calendar and perhaps even the Friday evening before as we will need much help with set-up, managing during the event and then clean-up.
Also, I want to mention membership and no-fuss donations. Because the PTSA was unable to hold Reindeer Days last year, their organization was unable to raise the money we are accustomed to having to support school activities. They would love families to join PTSA, but a no-fuss donation to the organization would actually go further to support activities. If you are so inclined to join or donate, we will accept donations in the office. You can also join PTSA on the PTA MemberHub.
Attention: Parents of High School Seniors: Your teen may need another vaccine! North Carolina law requires Meningococcal vaccine for entry into 12th grade.
If your student may already have all required vaccines. The shot record needs to be presented to the school before Nov. 1.
- Talk to your teen’s doctor to find out if they need Meningococcal vaccine.
- Make sure your teen gets the vaccines they need before November 1st.
- Get a copy of your teen’s shot record to take to school.
- While at the doctor, make sure your teen is up to date on other vaccines and their yearly checkup.
Where can my teen get this vaccine? Your teen’s doctor or health care provider.
