Community leaders from WCPSS, Wake County, and the Town of Apex celebrated a major milestone in the construction of the new Pleasant Plains Elementary!

This beam raising ceremony (also known as "topping out") marks the placement of the final structural beam in the school building, which will be home to more than 700 students in the rapidly expanding Apex community.

Along with remarks on the importance of public investment in educational infrastructure, officials had the opportunity to sign the beam before it was placed. Future generations will be able to look up and see the memento of the celebration for years to come!
