Camp WCPSS Summer Learning Program
In summer 2021, Camp WCPSS is providing in-person instruction in English Language Arts, science and math, plus enrichment activities (music, arts, technology), to students who have been identified as needing additional support in their learning to be prepared for the 2021-22 school year.
Camp WCPSS is being held at 136 sites across the district. Per state legislation, we offer 150 instructional hours, or 30 days of instruction. School meals and transportation will be provided.
Eligibility for Camp WCPSS
Families of students who have been identified as being able to participate in Camp WCPSS were sent an invitation in early May 2021. Some seats might be available for those who were not identified. Those families of students who did not receive an invitation but are interested should contact the student’s principal. If space is available the student may be able to attend. If space is not available, the student may be placed on a waitlist.
Student Assignment and Schedules
Every effort has been made to assign students to a Camp WCPSS site closest to their residence. Families have been notified of their students’ assignments, along with schedules, report times and end times. If your student has been invited to Camp WCPSS but you are not sure where or when they should attend, contact your child’s school and ask for the Summer Learning Planning Coordinator.
Transportation is provided for Camp WCPSS students who qualify and receive district transportation during the school year. For secondary families, this information will be posted in PowerSchool. For elementary families, this information will be provided by the school. Families should have received information regarding bus stop locations and times. If you have not received this information, contact the school.
Camp WCPSS will provide breakfast and lunch free of charge for all students.
