The Board of Education approved the following changes at its September 5, 2023 meeting:

• Bonnie Mwanda, Assistant Principal at Heritage High to Principal at Neuse River Middle
• David Cassady, Assistant Principal at Broughton Magnet High to Principal at Apex Friendship Middle

Assistant Principals

• Jessica Canaday, Intervention Facilitator at Vance Elementary to 50% Assistant Principal position, 50% Literacy Coach at Laurel Park Elementary
• Lauren Foster, Teacher at Hilburn Academy to Assistant Principal at Salem Middle
• Terilyn Hester, Applicant to Assistant Principal at Mills Park Middle
