Athens Drive senior completes two medical internships in one summer

Over the summer, Athens Drive Magnet High School senior Abdel Amra went above and beyond to complete two medical internships as part of his Health Sciences Career Academy experience.

One internship was done locally with WakeMed Health & Hospitals studying under the Emergency Care team. The second was performed at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Saudi Arabia, where Abdel was able to watch surgeons perform three heart transplants in less than 24 hours!
