Come Out and Play Day on May 7

The Wake County Community Collaborative for Children and Families is hosting this free community event on May 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dorothea Dix Park Chapel,1030 Richardson Dr., Raleigh

The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to Mental Health Month and how incorporating play into your life can boost physical and emotional health, as well as strengthen connections with others.

There will be outdoor recreational events for participants of all ages and a screening of the KPJR Films documentary "Playing for Keeps" at 3 p.m.

There will be giveaway bags for the first 300 households in attendance. No registration required – the event is free and open to all!
