A California transplant, I came to North Carolina in 2000 to attend Campbell University where I graduated in 2005.  Out of college, I taught in Duplin County for ten years before making the move to Wake County and the beautiful Centennial campus.  Married in 2016 to my fabulous husband, Terrence, we have three fabulous dogs: Fitz "Pops" Roy, Winston "Winnie" Churchill, and Cowboy.  I am a lover of all things books, an avid reader who will push students to look beyond the daunting task of reading and finding pleasure in words.  I am unconventional, quirky, boisterous, and enjoy making lifelong relationships with students. I look forward to meeting you and all you will teach me this school year.  Let the games begin!
