I am so excited to join the Centennial family and serve our teachers, students, and families as an Assistant Principal.  I completed my undergraduate and master’s studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and remain a true Tarheel fan.  After graduation, I became a high school English teacher in Durham, NC and then served as an Instructional Facilitator in both Durham and Wake counties.  Most recently, I’ve completed an MBA degree at Southern New Hampshire University and my Add-On Administration Licensure at Appalachian State University.

I have remained in the field of education because of the valuable connections that I make with those around me.  At the end of each year I always realize that my students and teachers have taught me far more than I could have ever imagined.  Everyone has a story and every story is important.  I am committed to learning the stories within the Centennial community and using those narratives to inform and support our work.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my daughter. We often work on DIY and craft projects together and we’re always up for a movie night.  I’ve also been an avid cross-stitcher since the age of five and absolutely love reading and collecting historical fiction novels.
