Dr. Joylynn Miller

Joylynn Miller is proud to serve as the school psychologist at both Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School and Moore Square Magnet Middle School. A native of Durham, North Carolina, Dr. Miller attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned a degree in Psychology with a minor in English. Since graduating, she has worked with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels within the Wake County Public School System.
 
Dr. Miller is passionate about supporting students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. As a school psychologist, she collaborates with teachers, families, and community agencies to help remove barriers to learning and ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. Her work includes conducting psychoeducational evaluations to assess for learning and behavioral challenges, meeting with individual students to address skills deficits, assisting with small groups, and supporting the implementation of research-based interventions.
 
When she is not at school, she enjoys cooking, reading, attending film festivals, and attending live music concerts at local venues. Dr. Miller is also studying Reiki and the ways it is used to promote relaxation and wellness.
