Rachel Frasier
Rachel Frasier joined the Centennial Campus Center for Innovation Magnet Middle School community in 2023 as the Magnet Coordinator. She is a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and a graduate of Meredith College, where she majored in Dance and earned her K-12 Dance Education Certification. She's been an educator in the Wake County Public School System for 25 years, working at West Lake Elementary (Dance/Drama Specialist), Holly Grove Elementary (Media Coordinator), Herbert Akins Elementary (Media Coordinator), and Underwood Gifted and Talented Magnet Elementary (Dance Specialist) prior to coming to CCMMS. As the Magnet Coordinator, her role includes student recruitment, helping develop our innovation theme, strengthening our partnerships with NCSU and the greater Raleigh community, and sometimes even driving a minibus full of students to a field trip! She truly believes that our work with the Characteristics of an Innovator and implementation of Design Thinking will prepare our students for future careers we can't yet imagine and is honored to help hone those skills.
In her spare time, Mrs. Frasier is a social-emotional learning coach and trainer. As such, her two favorite phrases are “all behavior is a form of communication” and “mistakes are an opportunity to learn.” She has a lifelong love of reading, is an avid podcast listener (and was super excited to be featured on episodes of 2 separate podcasts), enjoys crafting, and loves to travel. After school and on weekends she can be found walking her dog Taz.
