Degrees and Certifications:
I grew up outside of Greensboro, North Carolina. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Asheville with a bachelor's degree in Literature. The mountains were home to me for several years, but I now call Raleigh home.
This is my sixth year in Wake County and my second year teaching at Centennial. I am excited to be a part of the Centennial family. I love the unique energy and potential that middle students bring to the classroom each day, and I strive to make connections with them through their interests and backgrounds. I am a huge book nerd! Reading and history have always been a passion of mine. This passion drives me to ensure that each student has a positive experience my classroom, and that they hopefully fall in love with a book this year.
When I’m not teaching, I’m spending time with my family, completing woodworking projects, cheering for the Carolina Panthers, and working my through my neverending to-be-read pile of books.
