Missi Foster

Hello Centennovators!  I am excited to be starting my 6th year at Centennial and my 25th year as a teacher.  For the past five years I have worked as a 6th grade math teacher, but this year I am changing roles and will work as a special education teacher supporting students in the area of math!

During my years in education, I have served as an instructional coach, a fourth and fifth grade teacher, and a special education teacher.  I started my career with Wake County Schools, but I have also taught in Pitt County, Randolph County, Asheboro City, and Guilford County.

I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education from Appalachian State University and my Master’s Degree from East Carolina University.  I am certified in special education, elementary education, and K-6 math education.

I am happily married and I have three young adult children.  When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time at the beach and watching college sports.

I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones this year and helping all of you grow as mathematicians!
