Hello Centennovators! This will be my second year at Centennial Campus Center for Innovation. I am originally from Lexington, NC but began my career in the Brunswick County School District. While there, I taught in both elementary and middle school and was a Digital Learning Specialist for a high school and for the district. 

 

I really enjoy working with students and co-teaching the Destination Innovation class. I believe this class is a valuable experience for students as they gain knowledge that will benefit them beyond the classroom. Students will be able to showcase their creativity while collaborating and communicating with peers and community partners using the Design Thinking process to guide their thinking.

 

On a personal note, I moved to Wake County after getting married and I have enjoyed the transition to Wake County Schools.  I have a dog and a cat, and both get lots of treats and love. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, getting together with friends and exploring this beautiful city.

 

This year is going to be amazing! We will grow as innovators together!
