    Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council

The purpose of the Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council (STAC) is to help inform the Superintendent around issues, needs, and concerns of teachers in Wake County. Teachers will serve as resources for other teachers and help with communicating information across the district. The group will meet regularly and provide feedback on a variety of issues affecting the classroom ranging from education policy to new district initiatives.

    The Historical Preservation Program

The Historical Preservation Program is a special effort to preserve and recognize the our history. The Wake County Board of Education believes that it is important for students, educators, parents and community members to be informed of the trailblazing pathways that were taken during the era of desegregation in Wake County. The efforts of determining the names of all the trailblazers will be a year-long project of district staff and community leaders.
