Concert/Marching Band operates as a year long block class. Students attend band class for 90 minutes every day. In the fall, this class functions as the Marching Band. The Marching Band performs at home Varsity football games, area band competitions and area parades.

Rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursdays of each week from 3:00-6:00 PM at the beginning of the season. As the season progresses, the practice times are reduced to 3:00-4:00pm. Performances are scheduled during Fall Break, with consideration given to allow the students portions of the week for personal activities.

A requirement of the course is that students attend the Marching Band Skills Camp. The camp is held on the campus of Southeast Raleigh High School. In the late fall and spring, this class functions as the Concert Band. Performances are provided at the annual Winter Arts Festival, Concert Festival and additional spring events.
