Mr. Eugene Grandy is the Director of Bands at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School. His duties include the Marching Bulldog Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, and Percussion Ensemble. Mr. Grandy earned his bachelor's degree from Norfolk State University, where he studied the Euphonium and Marched in the Spartan “Legion” Marching Band (Euphonium Section Leader 2006-2007). Mr. Grandy also received his teacher certification in Music Education from Fayetteville State University, where he was a Graduate Assistant for two years. Prior to joining the staff at SRMHS, Mr. Grandy served as a band director in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District from 2016 through 2020. Mr. Grandy is a member of the NC Music Educators Association, the NC Bandmasters Association, the NC Showstyle Band Directors Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Incorporated.
