         Leading through STEAM

    Approximately five times per quarter, we will ask students to study a famous leader in a field that is closely aligned with our magnet theme: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics).

    Using this web resource databank, select a famous leader in a designated field.

    Students should be introduced to the leader, his/her photo, accomplishments, and any civic or global contributions.

    How this information is delivered to students is teacher choice! Knowing your PRIDE class is the key. Consider your students’ best learning styles and how they will best receive this content.

    Suggested options:
    Students may read independently about the leader and respond in writing to a journal prompt (found here on this link).

    Direct teacher instruction (whole group) about the leader followed by class discussion (questions also found here on this link).
