Kamyrn Lawson

Congratulations to Kamyrn Lawson, Senior Class President and one of the proud recipients of the 2024 2nd Annual Southeast Raleigh Young Enterprising Women Mentoring Forum. A dedicated leader, Kamyrn has also served as a YMCA summer camp counselor, showcasing her commitment to community and mentorship.

Beyond her academic achievements, Kamyrn has set her sights on a career in the United States Air Force, specializing in Criminal Justice. Her passion for service and justice is truly commendable. Outside of her professional aspirations, Kamyrn enjoys swimming and fishing, displaying her love for the outdoors. Looking towards the future, she aspires to open her own beautician shop, blending her interests in beauty and entrepreneurship.

Kamyrn's guiding motto, "Always know there is a bigger picture, no matter what you are going through, always push through because it's going to get better," reflects her resilience and positive outlook. We celebrate Kamyrn's accomplishments and look forward to witnessing her continued success in all her future endeavors.

Congratulations to Erica Allen, a distinguished young achiever who stands as one of the proud recipients of the 2024 2nd Annual Southeast Raleigh Young Enterprising Women Mentoring Forum. Currently serving as the Junior Class Vice President, Erica demonstrates exceptional academic achievement in our esteemed International Baccalaureate and IT/Engineering Academy programs. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Japanese Honor Society, and Beta Club. 
 
A multi-talented individual, Erica excels academically and shines on the court, playing varsity basketball and volleyball. Her future aspirations are marked by a commitment to education and community development; she plans to attend a four-year university, aspiring to become a city planner or architect.
 
Erica draws inspiration from her mother, Dr. Stephanie Smith, a Central Services Director, and NASA Mathematician Katherine Johnson. Her guiding words are, "Never stop being your true self." Erica Allen is undoubtedly a rising star with a passion for learning, leadership, and positively impacting the world.
