Percentage of students demonstrating proficiency in critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills

  • Many assessments in schools are able to measure students’ understanding of subject matter in reading, mathematics, science, and other traditional subjects.  The College-Work Readiness Assessment (CWRA+) is one of the few assessments schools can use to measure how well students can think critically, solve problems that they’ve never encountered before, and analyze multiple pieces of information to draw defensible conclusions.  The data shown  below represent the percentage of juniors in various WCPSS high schools who scored proficient on the CWRA+ in the Spring of 2016.
