Description
Children learn about the idea of race and to recognize physical differences at a very early age from observations and interactions with their parents and families, peers, teachers, and many others. Parents face different challenges when talking to their children about race. In this workshop, you will learn strategies to facilitate the conversations about race and how to help your child better understand and appreciate the similarities and differences among people that will positively shape the way your child looks at and treats other people.

Los niños aprenden desde una edad temprana sobre la identidad racial y reconocen las diferencias físicas a partir de sus observaciones e interacciones con sus familiares, padres, maestros, compañeros y otros. Los padres enfrentan diferentes desafíos cuando tienen que hablar con sus hijos acerca de la identidad racial. En este taller, aprenderán estrategias para facilitar las conversaciones sobre la identidad racial y cómo ayudar a su hijo a entender y apreciar las similitudes y las diferencias entre las personas que positivamente determinarán la forma en que su hijo se percibe y trata a otras personas.
