Register for the Academy of Engineering and IT

Registration is currently closed.
Current 8th grade students may begin registering in October 2025 for the 2026-2027 school year.

In order to be eligible to apply to the NAF Academy of Engineering & Information Technology, students must be assigned to Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School as a base student or through the magnet application process. Information about the magnet program and application period is available on the WCPSS website.

 

The Academy has an open and equitable student recruitment process that results in a student body that reflects the demographics of the school community. There are no academic requirements for joining the program. 

 

Students are expected to commit to the program for all 4-years of high school and complete school with a NAFTrack Certification. The academy requires specific courses as well as an internship before high school graduation. 

 

Spaces are limited for each class. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as they are assigned to Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.

 

Please note: Students will need to provide information from a teacher who is willing to complete a recommendation. This includes the teacher's contact information, their current school, and email address. We will email teachers a link to complete the recommendation.
