Helpful Information for a Successful FacMod Experience
For major construction projects, you will need to allow at least 6 months for project approval, design and review, bidding, and contract execution before proceeding with your work.
Requests for summer projects must be submitted on or before January 31st of that year. Any FacMods submitted after January 31st are not guaranteed completion before the next school year.
To get started on your Facility Modification request, fill out the brief questionnaire linked below. Completing this questionnaire initiates the communication process with us. Your request must be submitted and approved before any work on a Facility Modification can be done.
Parent volunteer matching grants
The purpose of the parent volunteer maintenance program is to provide parent volunteers the opportunity to participate in buildings and grounds improvements at the school(s) of their choice thereby improving school facilities for students and staff and with cost savings to the taxpayers and citizens of Wake County. Projects which meet the requirements of the program must comply with our current guidelines for systems, materials, and amenities.
