My name is Joseph Hughes, and I am proud to serve as Head Custodian here at Millbrook. I’ve worked in education for 30 years and retired from Moreno Valley Unified School District in California before moving to North Carolina with my wife of 29 years. Fun fact—we actually met while working at Disneyland!

Outside of work, I enjoy building studio-scale models and flying RC airplanes. Most of all, I want our students and staff to know that I’ll do my very best for the school and the kids every single day. I’m excited to bring my experience and dedication to the Millbrook community and to help create a safe, welcoming space for everyone.
