I was born in Miami, FL. I lived there my whole life up until my husband and I, along with our three children, moved here in July 2024. I love living in NC. I now get to experience all four seasons versus Florida’s *forever summer* season. We are enjoying getting to know our new surroundings. I am always asking locals to share anything they think my family and I should do, see, or eat as new North Carolinians. 

I began my career as an educator in 2003, teaching seventh grade ELA. In 2013, I became a school counselor and have continued in this role ever since. I really enjoy being a school counselor, and I look forward to my time with all of MECME’s students and families!

Why I love working with kids...

I find working with students deeply rewarding because I believe every individual has a voice. I enjoy having the opportunity to support students at whatever stage they’re in, guiding them to use their voice in shaping and becoming their best selves.
