My name is Faviola Gomez. I am originally from Guatemala and have resided in Florida most of my life. During the summer, I moved to North Carolina and have enjoyed boating on the beautiful lakes, and sight seeing with my family. I have been married for 29 years to my husband Bertin and have a beautiful family consisting of two sons (Christopher 27, Adrian 13) and a daughter (Lynette 23). I also have a miniature Schnauzer-Lucy who just turned 15.

I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and obtained a certification in Pre-K-3rd grade. I taught Pre-Kindergarten for 17 years and moved on to teaching Dual Language (Kindergarten and First Grade) where I was able to teach in both Spanish and English.

Why I love working with kids...

As a teacher, I enjoy working with kids for they fill the room with positive energy, have curious minds and are authentic in nature. I find it rewarding to witness their personal growth not only academically, but socially as well; knowing that I played an important role in helping them achieve their goal.
