Ms. Shaniqua Graham

Hello! My name is Shaniqua Graham, and I’m excited to begin my fourth year teaching kindergarten here in Wake County. I’ve been an educator for over 10 years, and during that time, I’ve had the joy of working with children from birth through kindergarten. Helping young learners grow and develop is my passion!

I’m a proud North Carolina native, originally from the small town of Snow Hill. I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Early Care and Education and my Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Interdisciplinary Studies and Early Childhood Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

I currently live in North Raleigh with my husband, Tye. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me walking around the neighborhood, shopping at local stores, or trying out new foods.

In our classroom, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where every child feels like part of a family. I believe that mistakes are apart of learning, and that kindness can make a big difference. I can’t wait for the wonderful year ahead!

Why I like working with kids...

My first job in childcare began when I was 18 years old. From the moment I started, I knew this was the path I wanted to pursue in my educational journey. Children are the future leaders of our world, and I hope to provide them with the best education possible and make a lasting impact on their learning and development. Working with children brings out the best in educators. While they learn from us, we also learn from them and that’s truly the best of both worlds.
