We use teaching methods designed for young children and partner with families and the community to give every child a strong start.
Our programs
The Office of Early Learning includes:
- Project Enlightenment, which offers support and resources for families and teachers.
- Preschool Programs, which help find and serve young children who need extra support.
Child Find
Are you concerned about your child’s learning or development?
If your child has trouble with talking, playing, moving, thinking, or taking care of themselves, we can help.
Wake County Preschool Programs will check your child’s development at no cost to you. If your child qualifies, we will provide special support and services to help them learn.
We help children who are 3 to 5 years old and not yet in kindergarten.
