Lacey Peckham began her career in the Wake County Public School System as a Spanish teacher, with experience at both the middle and high school levels. She later served as an assistant principal at Sanderson High School, Martin GT Magnet Middle School, and Middle Creek High School. In 2014, she was named WCPSS Assistant Principal of the Year. Ms. Peckham was appointed principal of Martin GT Magnet Middle School in 2015 and returned to Middle Creek High School as principal in 2020. She was named Central Area Superintendent in 2025.
