We love our teachers – all 10,000+ of them!

 

Wake County students, parents and administrators have been showering teachers with affection as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week.

 

The Teacher Selfie contest on Twitter once again has been a big hit, as you can see at right. Teachers and students from all over the district are vying for prizes, including gift cards to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q and California Pizza Kitchen, full-house carpet cleanings from Zerorez, massages from Massage Envy and a couple of very special grand prize packages that will be announced on Monday, May 11. We're naming a few winners every day this week.
