Hey there! I’m Grace Balsley, originally from Brainerd, Minnesota, and this will be my first year teaching. I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. During my time there, I had the chance to student-teach in Le Sueur, MN, where I worked in an integrated 4th and 5th grade classroom. I was also on the college team where we double won nationals in the open pom and jazz division. Roll Mavs! 

 

I’m passionate about creating a student-centered learning environment, where group work thrives and every student is respected, valued, and heard. I believe that fostering a strong classroom community where we celebrate every win—big or small—creates a space for growth and success for all.

 

When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me hitting up Target for some shopping, going for walks in the great outdoors, soaking up the North Carolina sunshine, or getting a good workout in at Spin or yoga class. I love living in a place where there’s always something new to explore!
