Hello Bryan Road Family! My name is Ali Scott and I am sooooooo excited to join the CREW! I have been teaching 1st grade for 19 years, all in Wake County. I have a very special place in my heart for “firsties” and I believe there is nothing better than looking at life through the eyes of a first grader. I have a passion for building a loving, safe, and supportive classroom community and for fostering a love for learning in each and every student. I work hard to make learning fun and engaging and to push all students to reach their goals. Opening a new school is an honor and I am thrilled to work together with the students, staff, parents, and the community of Bryan Road. Teamwork makes the dream work! Let’s Go for the GOLD!

When I am not Mrs. Scott, I am “mom” to my two kids, Esli (9) and Asher (6). My husband and I stay busy trying to keep up with them! I love laughing, reading, listening to music, relaxing at the beach, and making memories with friends and family.

When I was a little girl, my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. My answer: a butterfly. That may not have turned out exactly as I thought, but I do get to help children spread their wings and fly. How lucky I am to be a teacher!
