Hi! My name is Alexandra Cooney and I am originally from Stamford CT. I went to UNCW for college to get away from the snow and I fell in love with the beach. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I moved to Jacksonville, NC, and taught kindergarten for four years. I recently went back to UNCW online and completed my master's degree in elementary education. 

 

I moved to Raleigh in 2022 with my boyfriend, his dog, and my cat. I have loved exploring the city and teaching at Bryan Road. I taught second grade for two years and now I am going to be a third-grade teacher! 

 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy getting outside, being active, reading, and watching football (Go Steelers!).
