Ms. Alexandra Cooney

 
Hello Bryan Road Families! My name is Alexandra Cooney and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Bryan Road. I am originally from Stamford CT and moved to Wilmington, NC for college. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I moved to Jacksonville, NC, and taught kindergarten for four years. I recently completed my master's degree in elementary education back at UNCW. 
I lived in Raleigh for the past three years and just purchased my first home in Clayton! I taught 2nd grade at Bryan Road for two years and this will be my second year teaching 3rd grade! 
When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, spending time with my pets, watching sports (Go Steelers!), and organizing my new house! 
 
I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
