Hey! My name is Megan Cheney and I am originally from Northern Virginia and earned my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degree from Radford University. After I graduated from college my husband and I moved here to North Carolina. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and often played school with my friends and sister. While in college I quickly realized that supporting and advocating students individualized needs had my heart. I started my teaching career in Chatham County schools where I taught Special Education Pre-K for four years. However, I am very excited to be making the transition to CCR at Bryan Road! 

When I am not teaching I love to spend time with my husband, daughter, and dog. We enjoy being outside, traveling, and watching hockey (let’s go Caps!). I also enjoy working with my hands and love to craft and flip furniture. 

I am thrilled to be a part of the Bryan Road community and look forward to building relationships with the students and their families.
